Be an “APRIL FOOL” for Coastal Humane Society Animals!
Jump into the ocean with us in “Pupsicle Plunge”
On Sunday, March 28 at 12:00 High Noon dozens of brave animal lovers will dash into the frigid waters of the Atlantic Ocean at Reid State Park to make “April Fools” of themselves to benefit the homeless pets at the Coastal Humane Society – and you can too!

Here’s how it works:
- Print the pledge sheet, (Pledge Sheet in .pdf format or Pledge Sheet in .doc format) or stop into the shelter, or we can mail one to you. Begin getting friends, family & co-workers to commit to making a donation to Coastal Humane Society if you jump into the ocean with us on March 28th. It is such a crazy idea; they may pay large amounts of money for the thrill of seeing you do this insane thing!
- Individual dippers are welcome, or gather a “TEAM of co-workers or school friends together - have businesses or school groups sponsor your team with donations.
- Contact CHS to pre-register for Pupsicle Plunge (walk-ons will also be welcomed on the day of the event). Call us 725-5051 or email info@coastalhumanesociety.org.
- Collect your pledge money and bring cash & checks (made out to Coastal Humane Society) along with your completed pledge form to the beach between 11:00 – 11:30 AM on Sunday, March 28th. Minors (under 18) will need to have a parent or Guardian sign a waiver form in order to go in.
Location - be at the Reid State Park, Todd’s Point Beach between 11:00 – 11:30 AM on Sunday, March 28th – signs will be posted directing participants to Todd’s Point for the Plunge location. Just to the RIGHT of the park toll booth. Don’t forget your bathing suit and warmest polar fleece towels. Then dash into the water with us at 12:00 HIGH NOON!

- HOT beverages and refreshments will be provided to participants, and safety personnel will be on hand to assist in the unlikely case of an injury. - Great prizes will be awarded to the top Pledge collectors.
- Spectators are WELCOME!
Donations gathered at the Pupsicle Plunge will be used for welfare and medical needs of the animals in care of the Coastal Humane Society until they are adopted into new forever homes. |
