Boots was surrendered to the
shelter with his sister Mittens. He is a two year old
male neutered black and white cat and a bit overweight.
He is good with children, gentle and affectionate, social and
friendly.

Piper
Piper is a 6 year old spayed
female Great Pyrenees. She was surrendered to CHS when
her owner retired and moved to Florida (Great Pyrenees don't
do well in the heat).
Piper is somewhat housetrained, knows
sit, down, speak and give paw. Her previous owner wrote,
"Piper is a loving dog. New owners will need to know
that she will run off if not on leash. Pyrenees love to
roam and do not come when called the first time." Piper
loves riding in the car or in the back of a pick-up truck,
playing fetch and being around people. She still has a playful
nature and enjoys romping outside. Piper loves children
and has lived with cats and birds in the past. She is
also reported to be good with other dogs. We will child
test and dog test her for those interested. Piper is afraid of
thunder and fireworks. An informational handout will be
given to her new owners on this subject.
Piper has
tested positive for Lyme and Anaplasmosis and is being treated
for both.
PIPER IS A SPECIAL NEEDS DOG; THEREFORE
THE ADOPTION FEE WILL BE WAIVED FOR PLACEMENT IN THE RIGHT
HOME.
