"These lovable, social animals are wonderful companions for people who take the time to learn about
their needs." (Courtesy of "How to Care for Rabbits" - The Humane Society of the United States)
Each rabbit, prior to adoption has been spayed or
neutered, ears have been cleaned and toenails clipped. We feel it is
necessary to spay or neuter rabbits because they are the third most
popular house pet and are turned into shelters on a daily basis all around
the country.
Please meet Quan Myers - a remarkable Maine woman who has cared for
and spoken for these social and complex creatures.

Ringo
Ringo is a 2 year old Harlequin rabbit, a laid-back guy that is very attached to Shortie. They were in a foster family together and grew to be very close. Ringo prefers not to be picked up but if you can hold him close to your body he will snuggle. He does like having his own "hidey house", a shelter where he can feel safe. Yet he also has a social side, he will "pout" if not given attention. Ringo has a lot of energy and enjoys time out of his cage.
Shortie
Shortie is a 2 year old female black bunny. Her favorite food is lettuce and she likes to play with a paper bag that has hay in it. Shortie has lived with other small animals but is quick to defend her territory. Shortie does not like to be held but once she feels comfortable with you she will hop around your feet. Shortie lived in a foster home with Ringo and they have become very close.
