Draco
This handsome boy is Draco, a 2 yr old male white Shepherd mix. Draco was surrendered to the shelter because his owners couldn't care for him any more. They recommend that he go to a home with a fenced in yard or buried invisible fence because he has been know to take off on explorations when the opportunity arises.Leash walks (Draco would make a great hiking companion) or runs would also work.
He knows sit, down, give paw, and stay.
Draco is house trained and used to being left alone for up to 9 hours. He has not lived with cats or other dogs, so he can be tested for either.Draco has lived with children between the ages of 10-14 and was reported to be gentle and friendly. He sometimes suffers from carsickness, so it would help to withhold food for a few hours before any trips. He likes to chew on hard or soft toys. Vacuums and brooms frighten him.
Over all, this wonderful dog is a playful, loving, and social dog.

Picasso
My name is Picasso and I am a 2 year old male Australian Cattle dog mix. I came here all the way from Georgia where I was saved from being euthanized due to over crowding in a high-kill shelter. My background information is unknown to the staff here. If you know anything about my breed it is that I have loads of energy! I’m a very curious little boy and I must have my nose in everything. Since I am such an active guy, I should not live in a small apartment. A fenced in yard or electric fence with lots of room to run around would a plus. I can be dog tested if you are interested. Because of my breed and my tendency to herd, cats probably wouldn’t be a good thing in my new home. I have been medically checked out and have nothing wrong with me health wise. Obedience training would be very beneficial for me, ask the front desk here about when the next class is! Held right in the lobby!

Toby
Toby is a 4 year old, large labrador retriever/moose mix. He is very playful, and Polly, our wonderful animal photographer, noted that he was a bit "goofy" while she was taking his pictures! He likes to carry his leash, and loves to chase a ball. Polly noted that Toby would slyly nudge the ball away with his feet whenever she tried to pick it up! I think we may have a character here!
Toby was surrendered to the shelter because his family moved to a small apartment. He also began showing signs of aggression towards other dogs. He may not go to a home with cats or other dogs. He loves swimming, playing with tennis balls and going on walks or runs. He can be a bit pushy so needs an owner who will be a leader as well as a friend. He walks well with a 'Gentle Leader' harness and knows the commands 'sit', 'lie down' and 'come.' He also knows 'fetch' and 'wait'. Toby is house trained and used to being left alone for 4-8 hours a day. Toby can be stubborn, but is also loyal, affectionate, high spirited and very friendly.
