Barn Buddy Cat Program
Some of the wonderful Barn Buddy cats currently waiting for homes ...

Coastal Humane Society is currently in URGENT need of homes for over 14 shy, semi-feral and feral cats recently surrendered to the shelter, and that are now available through our Barn Buddy Program!

Coastal Humane Society has recently taken in over 14 cats eligible for the CHS Barn Buddy Cat Program. A kind gentleman had been caring for these shy or semi-feral homeless cats but is sadly no longer able to do so. Their advocate gone, these cats now face an uncertain future. All they ask for are safe accomodations, a steady supply of food and water and a kind caretaker and friend to watch out for them. They’re healthy, happy, neutered/spayed, and vaccinated and ready to start the next phase of their lives!

Do you have accomodations (home, barn or other safe dwelling) for one or more of these beautiful, independent souls? (Some of these sweeties are shown on the left.).
We will waive the adoption fee for the right home.

There is a special reward, unique from all others, in caring for an animal simply to enable it to live.

Some Barn Buddy cats are not suitable for an in-home situation and will always prefer to keep a safe distance from people. Others, with patience and kindness, will learn to trust over time and become the loving house cats they were born to be!

These are independent cats that "march to the beat of their own drums". Some times, though, it's nice to have someone caring to march with! Do you have a safe dwelling (home, barn or other) for one or more of these wonderful cats?

In one Winnie the Pooh story, it looked likely that Piglet was about to lose his home. Christopher Robin asked Piglet what would he do, if he became homeless...

"Before Piglet could think, Pooh answered for him.
'He'd come and live with me,' said Pooh, 'wouldn't you Piglet?'
Piglet squeezed his paw.
'Thank you, Pooh,' he said, 'I should love to.' "
